Composition: Each ml contains 100 mg of enrofloxacin.
Mechanism of action: Enrofloxacin is a broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic from the fluoroquinolone family, which prevents the replication and proliferation of bacteria by stopping the activity of the DNA gyrase enzyme. After oral administration, enrofloxacin is rapidly absorbed and distributed in most body tissues. Its plasma concentration reaches its maximum 0.5-2 hours after administration and is mainly eliminated through the kidneys.
Indications: Enrofloxacin is used to treat primary and secondary infections of the respiratory tract of poultry caused by gram -positive and gram-negative mycoplasmas as follows. – CRD – (CRD complex) – Fowl plague caused by Pasteurella – coryza caused by Haemophilus paragallinarum – Staphylococci infections of poultryThis drug is also very effective for the treatment of gastrointestinal infections in poultry and calves caused by colibacillosis and coli septicemia.
Administration and dosage: The dosage of enrofloxacin is 10 mg/kg live weight of the animal. In poultry, one liter of this medicine is used in 2000 liters of drinking water for 3-5 consecutive days. Withdrawal time: drug should be discontinued 9 days before slaughter for Broilers and 11 days for Turkeys before slaughter.
Storage: keep in less than 25 ͦ c and protect it away from straight sun light. Keep out of reach of children.
Contraindications : Due to the possibility of antagonistic effects, simultaneous use of enrofloxacin with chloramphenicol, macrolides and tetracyclines is not recommended. – In case of drug resistance to fluoroquinolones, stop taking the drug. – It is not allowed to use enrofloxacin during streptococcal infections. – In egg-laying hens that have eggs for human consumption.
