  • Indications:

Enrofloxacin is used to treat primary and secondary infections of the respiratory tract of poultry caused by mycoplasmas, gram-positive and gram-negative microbes as follows.

-CRD

– Complex respiratory infections with E.coli (CRD complex)

-Pasteurella and Salmonella in poultry and turkey.

– Poultry coryza caused by Haemophilus paragallinarum

-Staphylococcal infections of poultry

This drug is also very effective for the treatment of gastrointestinal infections in poultry and calves caused by colibacillosis and colisepticemia.

 

  • Administration and dosage:

The recommended dose is 0.1 ml per kilogram of live weight or

In poultry, one liter of this medicine is used in 2000 liters of drinking water for 3-5 consecutive days.

 

  • Withdrawal time:

7 days before slaughter.

 

  • Drug interactions:

– Concomitant administration of this drug with divalent cations, unsaturated fatty acids, quaternary ammonium compounds, tetracyclines and macrolides is not recommended due to its antagonistic effects.

– In case of drug resistance to fluoroquinolones, stop taking the drug.

– It is not allowed to use enrofloxacin during streptococcal infections.

– In egg-laying hens that have eggs for human consumption.
